Justin Lite

Justin Lite was born and raised in West Islip, New York, where he graduated with high honors from West Islip High School. A distinguished member of the National Honor Society and a recipient of the Regents’ Scholarship, Justin also excelled as captain and lettered in both varsity football and lacrosse for the West Islip Lions.

He pursued a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1982 with Dean’s List honors. During his time at RPI, Justin was an active member of the collegiate lacrosse team, serving as captain and earning All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (All-ECAC) recognition in his senior year.

Justin continued his academic journey at St. John’s University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1985, also graduating on the Dean’s List. Following in the footsteps of his father, Joseph Lite, Esq., who established a legal practice on Higbie Lane in 1951, Justin became the esteemed hometown attorney his father was known to be. Joseph Lite, an influential figure in West Islip, played a crucial role in founding local institutions such as the West Islip Post Office, Library, School District, Fire Department, and Lions Club.

Since 1985, Justin has carried on his father’s legacy with dedication to the Suffolk County community. He has founded and supported numerous community service organizations, including “ASKUS,” an after-school program for children, the West Islip Youth Hockey Program, the Sayville Girls Lacrosse program, and the Sayville Athletic Foundation, all aimed at providing better opportunities for youth. Additionally, Justin has served as Guardian and Referee in the Surrogates and Supreme Court and regularly volunteers as a Guardian for special needs adults.

In recognition of his contributions, Justin received the Alumni Award from the West Islip School District in 1995 and has been honored as an outstanding contributor to the Sayville School District. Notably, on July 24, 2001, Suffolk County declared “Justin Lite Day” in his honor.

Justin resides in Sayville, NY, with his wife, Elisa, and their two dogs. He is a proud father to two daughters, Judith E. Lite and Jordan L. Lite, and a doting grandfather to his grandson, Nathan.
