JAREN M. FERNAN, ESQ.
Jaren M. Fernan, Esq. is one of the proud founders and a partner of Porchia & Fernan. Jaren prides himself in creating a trusting and personal relationship with his clients with his ‘hands on’ approach to handling each case. Jaren builds a rapport with his clients and is often viewed as their confidant, problem solver, and trusted advisor. From his first job out of law school and through the present, Jaren has always had a passion for helping and representing personal injury victims by obtaining fair compensation for them and their families.
Jaren M. Fernan was born and raised on Long Island. He graduated West Islip High School in 2006 as a member of the National Honor Society. After high school, Jaren attended SUNY Geneseo, where he majored in International Relations with a focus in Global Economics and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2010.
After college, Jaren stayed in New York and attended Touro Law School, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2015. He was on the Dean’s List of Distinguished Students and was awarded several CALI awards for achieving the highest grades in his classes. Jaren was also a proud member of Touro Law Review and one of his articles was even published: Searches and Seizures: Constitutionally Protected or Discretionary Police Work. After graduating law school, Jaren took and passed the New York State Bar Exam that same year.
After law school, Jaren immediately went into private practice as an associate at Lite & Russell, PLLC., a law firm started by his late grandfather, Joseph Lite, where his uncle, Justin Lite, was a partner. Jaren worked as an associate at Lite & Russell for the first eight years of his career, primarily handling personal injury lawsuits for clients, along with matters involving real estate transactions and estate planning.
Jaren, along with his partner, John M. Porchia III, proudly started Porchia & Fernan in 2024. Jaren currently resides in East Islip along with his wife, Danielle. Jaren is currently a member of the New York Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. He is also a proud board member of a not-for-profit organization, ASK US, involved in affordable before and after school child supervision.
